Based in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s vibrant capital, you will travel to the best single trail mountain bike locations and test your skills in the company of an expert guide. The holiday presents a unique opportunity to take in the country’s natural beauty while making the most of its varied terrain. Every aspect of your adventure will be taken care of, leaving nothing but maximum MTB enjoyment at three fantastic locations.
With its incredible mixture of exceptionally diverse landscapes, Slovenia has become a superb go-to destination for MTB enthusiasts. The country’s small size and excellent connectivity allows easy and quick transfer to numerous locations, characterised by different biking conditions on a wide range of trails. For this amazing holiday, we have carefully selected three brilliant destinations that will pack your days with the best possible rides.
From fantastic bike parks where you’ll be lift-assisted and enjoy the downhill rush, to wild trails where you’ll be the one tackling the hillsides at your own steam. An expert local guide, who knows all the best hidden MTB spots, will make sure the difficulty levels match your capabilities and that the trails are just challenging enough. Blood-pumping rides on which you’ll practice your berms are accompanied by super scenic countryside, while Ljubljana offers great opportunities to unwind after a long day of hitting the trails. Our team will also help with any technical issues that may arise. All you have to focus on are the positive perks of mountain biking. Let’s do this!
After getting to know each-other and sorting out our bikes, it’s straight to the slopes of Bike Park Krvavec. This mountainous monster boasts 6 MTB trails with the largest height difference of descent in Slovenia. It offers trails for all levels of experience. From the legendary Muci trail, to the more technically challenging Rock’n’Flow trail. The upper part of the park consists of wide-open spaces. The trails run across pastures and ski slopes which offer memorizing the valley and the highest peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Gravitational forces will be tackled by cable car and everyone will ride till their heart’s content.
On this day of biking we’ll head to the south of Slovenia, where local MTB thrill-seekers are slowly but surely turning this place into one of the best mountain biking centers in the region. The center’s reputation is already attracting visitors from all over Slovenia and beyond. This year it will also host numerous festivals with the best pro riders from the domestic and foreign scene. Bike Centre Kočevje has a lower altitude difference but its many different intertwining trails offer for more than a full day of biking fun. We will tackle some of ourselves, while others will be conquered with the help of a shuttle ride.
Did you know that the capital of Ljubljana boasts its own mountain bike area practically in the very centre of town? Now you do. The Golovec trails are managed by a team of hardcore MTB volunteers who make sure that the trails are flawless and regularly maintained. The trails were built by the best in the country, and rest assured, the easier flow-trails and large gap-jumps with technically demanding sections are as awesome as the Golovec Hill itself.
Following some R&R in the capital, it’s time to say goodbye and plan your next biking escapade in Slovenia.
Why not spend a few more days in Slovenia? Extend your holidays with a pre- or post-holiday extension. Accommodation, sightseeing and activities can be arranged. Add as many extra days to your holiday as you wish.
