Based in the quaint town of Kranjska Gora, you will be able to discover some of the best walking routes through valleys far from the crowds, following beautiful waters of rivers and waterfalls at the heart of this unique part of Slovenia.
This three day adventure is full of opportunities to get you intimately acquainted with the striking landscapes of Triglav National park from the epic northern face of Mount Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia to the magnificent emerald beauty of Soča River. Discover your favourite view from travelling the road up the windy Vršič Pass or even spice up your holiday with some optional adrenaline activities, such as white water rafting or ziplining.
Explore some of the inconspicuous treasures extremely close to Kranjska Gora easily accessible by bike, like the excitingly picturesque Lake Jasna and Zelenci Springs. All in all, a great holiday to calm your mind and heart and recharge your batteries. But be careful, you might want to return to Slovenia sooner than you think!
Settle yourself in Kranjska Gora, one of the most famous alpine resorts in Slovenia. Set in the beautiful valley of the Upper Sava River, it is a perfect spot to explore the Julian Alps. With a great network of cycling trails in the area, it is easy to stay active! Hop on a bicycle and pedal your way to the Zelenci Springs, the very beginning of Sava River. If you feel like you want to pack in a bit more, there are many trails around the town you can choose to go hiking on.
Or you can just relax and enjoy the pristine Lake Jasna and its magnificent mountain backdrop, especially in the summer, when it becomes a popular swimming spot.
Not far from Kranjska Gora, lies one of the most spectacular valleys in this mountain range. One of the sites that makes Vrata Valley so popular is Peričnik Waterfall, a marvellous 360° nature show, as there is a walking trail that lets you go around it. There is a beautiful forest trail that runs through the valley, following Triglavska Bistrica River upstream. You will get to see Mount Triglav eye to eye, when reaching the head of Vrata Valley as you stand underneath the towering northern face of this highest peak in Slovenia.
On this day, we will loop around some of the most stunning parts of the Julian Alps, as we make our way across the Vršič Pass into the Soča River Valley. The river, sometimes called the emerald beauty, is a spectacular sight on its own, while the hiking and all the other optional activities, make it a true adventure paradise. Fairytale landscapes of epic proportions will make your heart jump with joy!
Please carry your passport as we will cross the Italian border.
