If you’re a cycling enthusiast, who wants to combine top runs with stunning views, this 3-day active holiday is right up your alley. It consists of the best routes the Slovenian mountains have to offer. You will get to experience this country’s immense diversity as you tackle the terrain in the Kranjska Gora area of the Julian Alps. Two amazing runs across varied, hilly terrain with unforgettable panorama and picturesque villages. To regain your lost calories, you will munch down on some delicious authentic local cuisine, including hearty breakfasts that will give you the boost you need.
You will cycle on less-travelled roads of the Alpine region. Less traffic, more freedom. Kranjska Gora, a small but lively Alpine town, is located near the Austrian and Italian borders and offers the best cycling routes of the region. The tour is led by a local guide who is a professional cyclist with years of experience and can double as a trainer. The route is planned out very meticulously, so you get the most out of your ride. A support van is present throughout our ride, its driver a highly trained mechanic who can tend to any technical issues that may arise. And if a participant falls behind or feels like he has had too much, our team will make sure the tour continues smoothly and the cyclist is picked up.

After a proper cyclist’s breakfast, we hit the 66 km spin with a 1250 m ascent over the Pokljuka Plateau. The we wind our way down to the famous Bohinj and Bled lakes. At the latter destination you will get to taste the delicious local cream cake dessert. We then return to base where we relax, recharge out energy levels and have a good night’s rest.
Today’s stage will consist of 110 km and 2800m of uphill cycling. We will head over Slovenia’s highest Alpine pass Vršič. After a long descent, you can also climb the country’s highest road to Mangart with its carved tunnels and jaw-dropping views. Next, it’s time to jump over the Col du Predil pass into Italy and finish with an easy flat section to cool down after an exhilaratingly long day. After relaxing at the hotel, it’s back to reality. We will drive you to Ljubljana or the airport, depending on your preference/schedule.
