The holiday presents a unique opportunity to take in the country’s natural beauty while making the most of its varied terrain. Every aspect of your adventure will be taken care of, leaving nothing but maximum MTB enjoyment at three fantastic locations

With its incredible mixture of exceptionally diverse landscapes, Slovenia has become a superb go-to destination for MTB enthusiasts. The country’s small size and excellent connectivity allows easy and quick transfer to numerous locations, characterised by different biking conditions on a wide range of trails. For this amazing holiday, we have carefully selected three brilliant destinations that will pack your days with the best possible rides.

From fantastic bike parks where you’ll be lift-assisted and enjoy the downhill rush, to wild trails where you’ll be the one tackling the hillsides at your own steam. An expert local guide, who knows all the best hidden MTB spots, will make sure the difficulty levels match your capabilities and that the trails are just challenging enough. Blood-pumping rides on which you’ll practice your berms are accompanied by super scenic countryside, while Ljubljana offers great opportunities to unwind after a long day of hitting the trails. Itinerary

DAY 1 – Bike Park Krvavec

After getting to know each-other and sorting out our bikes, it’s straight to the slopes of Bike Park Krvavec. This mountainous monster boasts 6 MTB trails with the largest height difference of descent in Slovenia. It offers trails for all levels of experience. From the legendary Muci trail, to the more technically challenging Rock’n’Flow trail. The upper part of the park consists of wide-open spaces. The trails run across pastures and ski slopes which offer memorizing the valley and the highest peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Gravitational forces will be tackled by cable car and everyone will ride till their heart’s content.

DAY 2 - Trail centre Kočevje

On this day of biking we’ll head to the south of Slovenia, where local MTB thrill-seekers are slowly but surely turning this place into one of the best mountain biking centers in the region. The center’s reputation is already attracting visitors from all over Slovenia and beyond. This year it will also host numerous festivals with the best pro riders from the domestic and foreign scene. Bike Centre Kočevje has a lower altitude difference but its many different intertwining trails offer for more than a full day of biking fun. We will tackle some of ourselves, while others will be conquered with the help of a shuttle ride.

The Golovec trails are managed by a team of hardcore MTB volunteers who make sure that the trails are flawless and regularly maintained. The trails were built by the best in the country, and rest assured, the easier flow-trails and large gap-jumps with technically demanding sections are as awesome as the Golovec Hill itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I am travelling solo?

Many of our travelers join as singles. We charge single supplement fee to solo travelers for single room use. But don’t worry, we can pair you with another traveler of the same gender if you like.

Am I fit enough?

Most of the biking will be van or gondola powered. With the exception of day 5, the trails are short and you are welcome to do as many rides as you want. On day 5, we will have to overcome around 900 vertical meters to reach the top of Matajur. At the very end, there will be some pushing of the bikes, but the reward on the downhill is more than worth it!

How technical will the biking be?

Most days there will be many options available, from easy flow trails to more technically demanding. You will always be able to choose your preferred level, there will always be enough trails for everyone confident with an occasional rock or root on a trail.

Does the group spend time together in the evenings?

Where the meals are included in the itineraries they are in a group setting.
Your guide will also be with you during these scheduled meals.
During the meals that are not included in the itinerary, you are free to choose where you would like to dine. Your guide will advise you of the best places to dine. You can choose to join with others and decide to dine together somewhere or if you desire some independent time, you are also always welcome to do your own thing.

What should I bring with me?

It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the holiday regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, you can see all 4 seasons change in the same day, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer and rain gear. Your guide will let you know each day what kind of weather you can expect for the next day and don’t worry - extra layers can always be left in a van.

What is the tourist tax that is not included in the price?

A tourist and promotion tax is a fee that every visitor has to pay for each overnight stay all over Slovenia. It consists of two parts: each municipality charges a tourist tax fee, which goes towards financing and maintenance of tourist facilities in the area, and the Slovenian Tourist Board charges a promotion tax, which is used to promote Slovenia. Depending on the municipality, the tax rates vary - from 1.5€ in some locations to 3.13€ in Ljubljana or Bled (per person, per night).
