We had an amazing, wonderful time. Slovenia is such a jewel. So much variety. The people are so friendly, and so proud of their country and want to show it off. We spent two weeks there and could have done more. If anyone tells you they visited Slovenia because they toured Piran for a few hours off of a cruise ship, they missed so much. This tour was so warm, informative and we were immersed in the culture, which is what touring should be. Our guide Nejc was so knowledgeable and informative. We quickly developed a warm relationship with him. He was definitely a highlight of the trip for us. Slovenian food was so delicious, and healthy too. I miss my Slovenian goulash!!
The whole self-guided personalized 16 day itinerary was well planne and explained. Its link to the locations of accommodations, car parks, tourist and scenic sites, hiking trails, suggested restaurants was superb and extremely helpful. The attached vouchers were very useful as well. We got immense support from our travel agent, Nika at Slovenia Holidays, before and during our entire trip, when we had overlooked important information in the itinerary. That invaluable support plus the itinerary from Slovenian Holidays was well worth the money. This support included several video conference calls during the planning process and phone contacts during our trip was really reassuring and helpful to resolve any unexpected issues. The tour plan was really wonderful, a good balance of urban and outdoor locations and experiences. The trip app worked perfectly, making it simple to keep organized with excursion vouchers, route maps, site descriptions, etc. it also made it easy to communicate with the travel company when we occasionally had questions. We were amazed at how much variety there was in a relatively small area. I highly recommend this company and this particular trip plan for anyone who would like to explore this area of Slovenia.
