The Petrovo Brdo mountain hut is not really a mountain hut at all, as it is accessible by car. Nevertheless, it serves as an excellent starting point in the heart of the mountains at Baška grapa and Selška Valley, or as an excellent local refreshment spot after a long hiking tour.
It was built in 2000 and has one room and shared beds for up to 8 people. If you book it as a group, Petrovo Brdo becomes a fantastic private lodging.
Numerous mountain trails lead past this lovely hut, like the Slovenian mountain trail, European E7 footpath, Via Alpina, the Škofja Loka mountain trail, the Geological trail and the Loka cycling trail. Petrovo Brdo is therefore an incredibly welcoming pitstop for all who venture into this part of the Slovenian Alps.
