Also known as Iški vintgar, this scenic gorge has been carved by the Iška River with its cute rapids, sandbanks, numerous pools and steep rocky banks. It’s a fantastic day trip destination. Hiking through the gorge, one can marvel at numerous rocks formations, like gravel stones of dolomite streaked with white calcite veins and red and green coloured round-shaped stones. Trees appear to grow straight out of the gorge’s canyon-shaped terrain, adding to its fascinating landscape. Besides a number of lovely hiking trails, about an hour’s walk away is also a World War II partisan hospital from 1942.
