The first record of beer brewing in Ljubljana dates back to 1592, but the famous brewery was founded in 1864 as a small family business by Ivan and Peter Kosler. The Union brand, however, saw the light of day in 1909. Today, the brewery offers visitors the chance to experience the history and tradition of brewing as well as some incredible Union beer products to taste. You can go on a guided tour of the 150 year-old history of brewing in Ljubljana and discover some interesting facts about the famous Union dragon. The brewery also offers tasty meals in its inn and provides a very lively atmosphere with music and, of course, superb beer.
