Spend your day in the embrace of Martuljek Mountains and Mount Špik, as you hike to the almost hidden Martuljek Falls. A wonderful hiking destination, the first of the two waterfalls is easily accessible by everyone. Treat yourselves to a traditional meal or snack at a local mountain hut, located on a beautiful meadow, surrounded by pastures and forest. For those with more hiking experience, we recommend continuing to the second waterfall, which is nested in the sheer cliff of the mountains and thus the ascent becomes more technically demanding.
Breakfast
8 km (4.9 mi) hiking to Martuljek falls, elevation gain 470 m (1500 ft)
The hike to the Upper Martuljek Waterfall finishes with a scramble along a crack in the rocks with secured steel pins and cables and is not appropriate for people with vertigo or no experience.

Things to know
The included pickup and drop-off at the end of the holiday in the price published on our website is in Kranjska Gora. For any changes, please notify us upon booking. The included transfers are all the transfers between places and/or activities specified in the itinerary.
Both our back office team and our guides know where to go. We can give you recommendations or even pre-book some places for you. You can be adventurous and find places on your own. Either way, let us know if you would like any sort of help.
Our activities included in the tour are appropriate both for absolute first-timers to people with experience. For most of the activities included in the itinerary, you need to be moderately fit, meaning that you are able to hike up a slope for about 30 minutes and know how to swim for the water activities. In case you are unsure about any of the activities, feel free to ask us anything and we will help you out.
It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the day trip regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, the weather can change fairly quickly, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer. We recommend shoes you will be comfortable in.
It really depends on the level of your restriction. Vegetarian options are fairly easy to find in Slovenia, but vegan dishes, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in rural areas of the country and in smaller towns. Please note that the places where we stop for lunch are often traditional and may have difficulties accommodating you outside of their standard menu. We suggest you keep this in mind.
Yes! Our holidays are designed to give you some free time every day to relax and spend it the way you want to. It is your holiday after all! For any advice and suggestions you can always turn to your tour leader or our back office, who will be more than happy to help you out.
