Description
This active holiday includes the main sights of the area while ample opportunities are given to explore the less-visited spots away from the main tourist trail. For the most part, you will be kept busy with outdoor activities, either hiking or cycling and optionally paddle boarding on the lake — all fantastic ways to experience the place without being in a rush to do so.
Staying at Lake Bled will give you the chance to spend some time on your own and create your private memories, while we will take care of the more active endeavors, such as cycling around the lake and to the town of Radovljica, hiking in Vintgar and Mostnica Gorges, Savica Waterfall, Mount Vogel, Ojstrica viewpoint and many more. You can opt to try out paddle boarding on Lake Bled, which makes a brilliant trip to the island in the middle.
If your holiday time is limited, this city break works wonders as it presents you with ample active time in nature, and some leisure time in one of the best spots in Slovenia.

Things to know
The included pickup and drop-off at the end of the holiday in the price published on our website is in Bled. For any changes, please notify us upon booking. The included transfers are all the transfers between places and/or activities specified in the itinerary.
Both our back office team and our guides know where to go. We can give you recommendations or even pre-book some places for you. You can be adventurous and find places on your own. Either way, let us know if you would like any sort of help.
It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the day trip regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, the weather can change fairly quickly, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer. We recommend shoes you will be comfortable in.
It really depends on the level of your restriction. Vegetarian options are fairly easy to find in Slovenia, but vegan dishes, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in rural areas of the country and in smaller towns. Please note that the places where we stop for lunch are often traditional and may have difficulties accommodating you outside of their standard menu. We suggest you keep this in mind.
Yes! Our holidays are designed to give you some free time every day to relax and spend it the way you want to. It is your holiday after all! For any advice and suggestions you can always turn to your tour leader or our back office, who will be more than happy to help you out.
A tourist and promotion tax is a fee that every visitor has to pay for each overnight stay all over Slovenia. It consists of two parts: each municipality charges a tourist tax fee, which goes towards financing and maintenance of tourist facilities in the area, and the Slovenian Tourist Board charges a promotion tax, which is used to promote Slovenia. Depending on the municipality, the tax rates vary – from 1.5€ in some locations to 3.13€ in Ljubljana or Bled (per person, per night).
