Slovenia is a true gem of natural diversity, and this 8-day adventure invites you and your family to explore its stunning landscapes, vibrant towns, and rich culture. From the peaceful alpine lakes to the lively coastal towns, this journey offers a perfect blend of outdoor activities and family-friendly experiences.

Your holiday begins in the breathtaking region of Lake Bled, where you'll explore the country's most famous landmark. Enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking through a scenic gorge, or paddleboarding on the serene waters of the lake. For those seeking a thrill, try ziplining above a beautiful river valley for a unique perspective of the landscape.

Next, head to Lake Bohinj, another stunning glacial lake nestled in the Alps. Here, you can take a cable car up to Mount Vogel, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy a variety of activities such as kayaking in crystal-clear waters, hiking through picturesque gorges, or cycling along scenic trails.

The adventure continues on the Slovenian coast, where you'll explore the charming seaside town of Portorož and visit Piran, the most picturesque coastal town. You can enjoy a boat ride, visit a traditional fish farm, or simply relax on the beach. A trip to the Slovenian Karst region will take you to the remarkable Postojna Cave, one of the most famous caves in the world, and the impressive Predjama Castle, perched dramatically within a cliff.

Your holiday concludes in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s vibrant capital. Here, you’ll experience Slovenian farm life, enjoy a food tour, and if you’re up for it, take a bike tour through the city’s green spaces for a memorable and active end to your trip.

Frequently Asked Questions

The included pickup and drop-off at the end of the holiday in the price published on our website is in Ljubljana. For any changes, please notify us upon booking. The included transfers are all the transfers between places and/or activities specified in the itinerary.

Both our back office team and our guides know where to go. We can give you recommendations or even pre-book some places for you. You can be adventurous and find places on your own. Either way, let us know if you would like any sort of help.

It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the day trip regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, the weather can change fairly quickly, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer. We recommend shoes you will be comfortable in.

It really depends on the level of your restriction. Vegetarian options are fairly easy to find in Slovenia, but vegan dishes, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in rural areas of the country and in smaller towns. Please note that the places where we stop for lunch are often traditional and may have difficulties accommodating you outside of their standard menu. We suggest you keep this in mind.

Yes! Our holidays are designed to give you some free time every day to relax and spend it the way you want to. It is your holiday after all! For any advice and suggestions you can always turn to your tour leader or our back office, who will be more than happy to help you out.
