Description
Slovenia activity holiday is a perfect way to visit a place like Slovenia, where the natural world has provided an infinite number of possibilities for outdoor activities. It can be very difficult to choose which one you want to try, especially if your time here is limited to a few days.
On this 4-day activity holiday in Slovenia, you won’t have to worry about running out of time or having to skip an exciting adventure. We have carefully compiled a list of must-see attractions and recreational pastimes in the stunning Slovenian mountains so that you get the most and more out of your visit.
Your adventure begins at Lake Bled, the symbolic landmark of Slovenia. Besides being an idyllic destination, Bled is a perfect Alpine hub from where you can easily access the rest of Slovenia’s magnificent Triglav National Park. One of the best ways to get the feel for this glacial wonder and its surroundings is by paddle boarding on the lake itself.
After venturing on and strolling around Lake Bled and hiking up a nearby hill for the best panoramic view of the lake, the next day will be a splash – above and below ground. First, you’ll get to climb, jump, zipline, and abseil down an underground stream, followed by kayaking on the majestic Sava River in an unbelievably scenic natural environment.
On the third day, we’ll take you deeper into the wonderful world of the Julian Alps for a drive up to the most popular mountain pass in the country – the Vršič Pass. There will be plenty of pit stops for photo ops and we’ll also visit a famous wartime memorial built by Russian POWs during WWI appropriately called the Russian Chapel. Then it’s time to meet our Emerald Queen, the crystal-clear Soča River. Hiking in the Soča Gorge with its deep ravines and surreal landscape is topped off with some super fun ziplining on the Kanin mountain and an easy hike to a waterfall near the picturesque town of Bovec.
After taking in spectacular views, discovering the hidden corners of one of the oldest national parks in Europe, and getting a glimpse of Slovenia’s cultural heritage, another dose of adrenaline is in order. Your adventure in Slovenia will end in style with some incredible whitewater rafting on the wilder parts of the Soča River before heading back to civilization.

Things to know
The included pickup and drop-off at the end of the holiday in the price published on our website is in Ljubljana. For any changes, please notify us upon booking. The included transfers are all the transfers between places and/or activities specified in the itinerary.
Both our back office team and our guides know where to go. We can give you recommendations or even pre-book some places for you. You can be adventurous and find places on your own. Either way, let us know if you would like any sort of help.
Our activities included in the tour are appropriate both for absolute first-timers to people with experience. For most of the activities included in the itinerary, you need to be moderately fit, meaning that you are able to hike up a slope for about 30 minutes and know how to swim for the water activities. In case you are unsure about any of the activities, feel free to ask us anything and we will help you out.
Not at all. We make sure that beginners and first-timers feel comfortable and safe. Our experienced guides and partners will make sure you understand what you need to do and will always make sure you have all the information you need, the right gear and the right word of encouragement.
It is important to dress for the season. Slovenia has all 4 seasons, so please check the weather forecast before the day trip regarding temperatures and rainfall. When you are close to the Alps, the weather can change fairly quickly, so your best bet is to always bring an extra layer. We recommend shoes you will be comfortable in.
It really depends on the level of your restriction. Vegetarian options are fairly easy to find in Slovenia, but vegan dishes, on the other hand, are extremely hard to come by in rural areas of the country and in smaller towns. Please note, that the places where we stop off for lunch are often traditional and may have difficulties accommodating you outside of their standard menu. We suggest you keep this in mind.
If you want to, sure! We are well aware that some people love to stay in groups while others prefer some more alone time on their trip. We wanted to give you the opportunity to do things your way. It is your holiday, after all! As long as you respect the group timings and locations designated by your guide, please feel free to customize your itinerary and create your own adventure!
