Bled is close to the Julian Alps, Slovenia’s most iconic mountain range. If you want to go hiking in the winter wonderland of the mountains and see an iconic Triglav viewpoint, then this is the perfect place for a guided tour. Your guide will adjust the pace of your hike based on the weather conditions and your experience level — whether you’re experienced or only starting out as a hiker.

If you want a head start on your day, hike up a hill in the early morning and watch the sun rise above Lake Bled. After breakfast, pack your skis and head out for some cross-country skiing at Pokljuka Plateau. The center is home to the annual Biathlon World Cup event, so whether you are an experienced skier or just beginning, there is something out here for everyone!

Upon returning to Bled, visitors can choose to see more of the lake’s surrounding sights, including Bled Castle.

Snowshoeing on Bohinj’s snow-covered trails is a fantastic way to explore the Julian Alps. After reaching the Vogel ski resort by cable car, your guide will walk you along the paths leading to the top of the resort. The feeling of floating on the snow drifts combined with the stunning views of Lake Bohinj is a recipe for a day well spent.

The fifth day means it is about time we visit Kranjska Gora, a popular winter resort in Slovenia. In the morning, you can stroll through the authentic Alpine village in the town’s center or just enjoy the mountain vista encircling the lowlands. In the afternoon, an adventure like no other awaits you. Have you ever tried dog sledding before?

Today, you might have a hard time choosing between so many intriguing options. If you are interested in skiing, the slopes above Kranjska Gora await you. Even the Alpine Skiing World Cup is held there annually. 

Besides that, you can hike to Lake Jasna or skate at an ice-skating rink. If the weather conditions permit it and you feel very adventurous, you can try ice climbing on a nearby frozen waterfall.
