Description

Why should a ski break bi limited to one location? It shouldn't. Not in Slovenia, anyway. Our country presents you with the most diverse landscape in such a small area that allows you to test your skills at a variety of locations within a matter of hours. No wonder it’s a nation of skiers. And this amazing package, which includes 4 top Slovenian ski resorts, will show you why.

Based in the capital, Ljubljana, you will venture to a selection of the best ski resorts, each with its unique features, amazing slopes and spectacular views. We’ll start you off with arguably the most popular ski resort in Slovenia - Krvavec. It’s located just outside the capital city and prides itself on excellent training grounds for kids and fun activities for intermediates and pros, including jumps and snowbiking.

Situated right on the border with Italy, your next stop will be Kanin. This awe-inspiring resort is a cable-car ride up from the town of Bovec and its excellent pistes are accompanied by dramatic rocky outcrops and stunning views. On a clear day you can see all the way to the Adriatic. From the way up high it’s slightly more south to Cerkno, a lovely resort on the edge of the mountainous region with outstanding cross-country skiing terrain to get up close and personal with the wild wintertime surroundings. To round up your adventure, it’s time to venture into the very heart of the Julian Alps and test your skiing skills on the slopes of famous Kranjska Gora. You’ll get a chance to swish down the pistes amidst insanely wonderful mountain backdrops and have a hot tea or cold beer right next to the slopes.

In short, this ski break consists of over 100 km of slopes of varying difficulties in unforgettably gorgeous ski resorts complemented by superb après-ski activities in Ljubljana. Let the adventure begin!

It offers more than 25 km of excellent pistes, covering an area of 110 ha. Krvavec is ideal because it comes with a nice balance of easy blue and green runs as well as some fantastic red and black pistes for the adrenaline seekers among you. Situated above the 2000 m mark, Krvavec ensures a very long ski season that stretches from December to early April. It is considered a sunny resort and the views above the cloud line are out of this world. On slightly cloudy days, you even get the illusion of skiing on an island in the sky.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the age range of people who come on these holidays?

Our tour caters for a wide age range, typically between 30 and 60 years old, but age is simply a state of mind, as they say, and we welcome anyone over the age of 18!
Tours are designed at your own pace and you will enjoy no matter what your age.

Each evening your guides will chat with you about the following day’s activities and give you an idea of the sorts of trails you can look forward to. If there’s anything you feel anxious about, your guides will be happy to discuss it with you.

What if I am travelling solo?

Many of our travelers join as singles. We charge single supplement fee to solo travelers for single room use. But don’t worry, we can pair you with another traveler of the same gender if you like.

Am I fit enough?

Ski Holidays Slovenia don't require any specific fitness level from you. You will chose your own pace, style of skiing and ski slopes you prefer. If you don't feel comfortable skiing on your own we suggest taking our ski school program, where you will ski in a group with a ski instructor and make the best progress.

Does the group spend time together in the evenings?

Where the meals are included in the itineraries they are in a group setting.
Your guide will also be with you during these scheduled meals.
During the meals that are not included in the itinerary, you are free to choose where you would like to dine. Your guide will advise you of the best places to dine. You can choose to join with others and decide to dine together somewhere or if you desire some independent time, you are also always welcome to do your own thing.

What should I bring with me?

Travelling light is the key. Make sure that you have plenty of layers of breathable clothing to ensure that you are always warm enough and can remove a layer if you get too hot.
You can also discuss with your travel manager of the current weather conditions a week prior to your arrival. You can bring your own ski equipment or we can provide rental pieces according to your wishes.

What is not included in the price?
