Description

7 days, 6 wonderful ski resorts, unlimited opportunities for some incredible snowy fun on the best slopes in Slovenian. A ski safari is all about diversity and Slovenian ski resorts are as diverse as it gets. Not only in terms of the facilities they offer, but the locations they’re situated in. This ski package offers you an amazing ski safari experience. Stationed in a 4-star hotel in the capital city of Ljubljana, your daily ski destinations will be just an hour or two away.

You’ll start off by visiting Krvavec, a stunning resort on the outskirts of Ljubljana. It’s the closest ski resort to any international airport in Europe and due to its proximity to Ljubljana it can almost be called an urban ski resort. The surrounding natural environment proves otherwise - pure serenity. Krvavec is also great for kids, as it has a children’s park with obstacles and varied terrain. Slightly further south, you’ll hit the runs at the resorts of Cerkno and Soriška Planina, located on the border between the mountainous and coastal regions of Slovenia. The diversity of terrain and the views are incredible.

Next you’ll explore the majestic Alpine region. Kranjska Gora is not only superb for skiers of all levels, but is also buzzing with life, as it’s Slovenia’s main sports hub. Heading up to the highest ski resort of Sella Nevea-Kanin that presents you with breath-taking panoramic views of the mountains. Your skiing adventure will end with a bang at Italy’s Tarvisio–Monte Lussari for some night skiing.

Everytime you return to Ljubljana, après-ski opportunities are ample to say the least. Whether it’s exploring historic sites, enjoying cultural events, attending concerts or going wild at all-night parties – Ljubljana has you covered. All in all, you can look forward to the best skiing experience this side of the Alps that will certainly leave you with the desire to come back for more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the age range of people who come on these holidays?

Our tour caters for a wide age range, typically between 30 and 60 years old, but age is simply a state of mind, as they say, and we welcome anyone over the age of 18!
Tours are designed at your own pace and you will enjoy no matter what your age.

Each evening your guides will chat with you about the following day’s activities and give you an idea of the sorts of trails you can look forward to. If there’s anything you feel anxious about, your guides will be happy to discuss it with you.

What if I am travelling solo?

Many of our travelers join as singles. We charge single supplement fee to solo travelers for single room use. But don’t worry, we can pair you with another traveler of the same gender if you like.

Am I fit enough?

Ski Holidays Slovenia don't require any specific fitness level from you. You will chose your own pace, style of skiing and ski slopes you prefer. If you don't feel comfortable skiing on your own we suggest taking our ski school program, where you will ski in a group with a ski instructor and make the best progress.

Does the group spend time together in the evenings?

Where the meals are included in the itineraries they are in a group setting.
Your guide will also be with you during these scheduled meals.
During the meals that are not included in the itinerary, you are free to choose where you would like to dine. Your guide will advise you of the best places to dine. You can choose to join with others and decide to dine together somewhere or if you desire some independent time, you are also always welcome to do your own thing.

What should I bring with me?

Travelling light is the key. Make sure that you have plenty of layers of breathable clothing to ensure that you are always warm enough and can remove a layer if you get too hot.
You can also discuss with your travel manager of the current weather conditions a week prior to your arrival. You can bring your own ski equipment or we can provide rental pieces according to your wishes.
