After a tour of Bled and a ride with a traditional pletna boat on the lake to the idyllic island with the small church, it is only right to take some time to relax and enjoy good food and drink. And you’ll find no better venue for that than at Bled Castle’s restaurant. Run by the chef family Jezeršek, they are known for preserving the gastronomical heritage of the region with plenty of modern twists.

Bled Castle Restaurant’s creative team of chefs consists of top chefs who spoil their guests with a variety of different dishes. Meals are also prepared in line with special dietary requirements, adding to the comprehensiveness of Jezeršek’s offer. The Castle Coffeeshop also supplies premium Slovenian wines and craft beers within the pleasant ambience of the castle’s walls.
Besides the restaurant and coffee shop, a boutique shop called the Castle Beehouse presents visitors with a wide selection of special, high-quality honey products and souvenirs from Slovenia.

If you would like to expand and enhance your knowledge of gastronomy, the Jezeršek family also passes on their amazing culinary skills at their very own Academy that includes cookery courses, service skills, team-building workshops and courses for children.

Slovenia Holidays / World Discovery ( travel agent Grega) arranged a one week travel program for us in Slovenia, combining our own wishes of some hiking and nature experiences, some sea-, city- and country-side visits and his own suggestions (Ljubljana food tour, Planina cave spelunking with personal guide, etc.). The process around customising the itinerary and perfecting it went very smooth. He arranged tickets, guides and a rental car, all accessible through a neat app, and the plan turned out to fit very well, including a rental car upgrade to accommodate larger then anticipated suitcases. We had not heard so much about Slovenia beforehand, but it is amazing, as are its people, food, culture and not least its diverse nature, its exceptional gorges and caves.
